A stub contract is a contract with incomplete data. It may not have an accurate "Contract Number" for instance. For information about a Stub Contract, please see “What is a Stub Contract.”
When creating a stub contract, it is recommended to input the same Contract Name into the Contract Number field, so you will be able to more easily identify the contract at a later date when Contract Number becomes available.
- Navigate to Entities on the main menu bar
- Click Contracts on the left side menu
- Click the (+) button to add a "New Contract"
- Fill in the fields that you know
- If the Contract Number is unknown, it is recommended that you use an identifier that would be easily recognized such as when searching contracts such as the entity's name. Unlike the field name implies, the Contract Number doesn't have to be a number.
- Once you have completed the fields you know click Save
The Stub Contract will act like any other contract in Ruvixx, allowing you to make connections between entities and IP. If at a later time you come across the correct Contract Number you can always edit the contract and replace the stubbed one.
Note, the only required field on a contract is the Contract Number and so if you do not enter an End Date the contract will be treated as perpetual.
