A key part of centralizing knowledge across your organization and giving Ruvixx more data to establish connections and calibrate signals is building out a profile for entities that you encounter. As part of this profile you can add an Entity Type to clarify the type of business the entity engages in. An entity can have multiple Entity Types and added as your knowledge of the entity grows. For example an Incident may come in where the entity is the Reseller and a later Incident may identify the entity as a Distributor.
- Affiliate - A company whose parent only possesses a minority stake in the ownership of the company
- Association - Membership organization engaged in promoting the business interests of their members
- Contractor - Business or corporation which provides goods or services to another entity under terms specified in a contract
- Customs - Agency responsible for controlling the flow of goods in and out of a country
- Exporter - Shipper of goods out of the jurisdiction of a country, for example a freight forwarder
- IC MFG - Integrated circuit manufacturer
- Importer - Receiver of goods into the jurisdiction of a country
- Law Firm - A business formed by one or more lawyers to engage in the practice of law
- Manufacturer - A company that produces finished goods
- Module MFG - Module manufacturer
- Organization - A group of people that collaborate to achieve certain commercial goals
- Payment Processor - Company appointed by a merchant to handle transactions from various channels such as credit cards and debit cards for merchant acquiring banks
- Reseller - (Distributor) A company or individual that purchases goods with the intention of selling them rather than consuming them. For example, value-added resellers.
- Retailer - (Seller) Business that sells goods directly to individuals
- Rights Holder - Legal entity with exclusive rights to a protected copyright, trademark or patent.
- Software Developer - A person or company concerned with facets of the software development process of computer software
- Subcontractor - A business that carries out work for a company as part of a larger project
- Subsidiary - A company who's parent is a majority shareholder
- System MFG - System manufacturer
- Website - Online marketplace
