A "Stub Contract" is a Contract that is missing some contract information, commonly the Contract Number. Commonly a Stub Contract will be used as a placeholder when a Contract Number for a Contract cannot be located. Stub contracts are useful when a license needs to be created but the contract form cannot be completed because of a missing Contract Number. Thus, Stub Contracts make it easier to quickly locate or identify a contract and license for editing.
