As your organization utilizes Ruvixx you will begin to map out the world of entities according to your business, eventually cataloging entities that you have contracts with, possible infringers, vendors, and more. Some of these entities you will “target” for investigation or conversion while others you would never target. While Entity Type can help with this process whether you target an entity is commonly independent of its Entity Type. To aid in the targeting process and to leverage knowledge across your organization we have introduced an “Entity Classification”. With this, entities can fall into one of three buckets or a fourth if you count the fact that an entity doesn’t have to have an “Entity Classification” at all.
- Potential - An entity that has, currently is, or could license your IP or infringe on your IP. It is likely when you come across these entities in Tradeshows or Incidents that you would target them.
- Informational - An entity that is unlikely to license or infringe on your IP however might have information on converting Potential entities and you may therefore want to target.
- Ignored - An entity that might be important to your daily business however would never be a target. This might be a law firm you work with or vendor who conducts audits for you.
